Gigi
Gigi is a whole lotta personality in one little pooch. She is a super-cute, 8 pound, 5 year-old Toy Fox Terrier/Chihuahua mix who is sadly being re-homed. Her owners recently had a baby and Gigi is not happy. Her status as "the baby" of the house has changed and she is unwilling to share the attention.
Gigi's ideal home would be a medium to low energy household with little to no interaction with small/young children (under 10 years old) on a regular basis. Perhaps an older couple with an empty nest or a couple without children who can and will show patience with a dog that simply wants to be loved.
Although she can live with other dogs, she tends to have dominant tendencies towards them indoors. She is housetrained and is used to being walked 2-3 times a day for 20 minutes or more. She enjoys long walks but does not enjoy being walked in the rain. She can be very sociable with other dogs, but not always with people. She is VERY shy with people and is particularly defensive with new men who look at her directly. She will growl or possibly snap, if someone she does not know attempts to touch her.
She will warm up with people-- it just takes a little time. She is VERY affectionate, warm and sweet. She loves kisses and cuddling under the covers. She also enjoys occasional rough housing from time to time and really likes to play fetch with her squeaky toys. She also enjoys "singing"- she will howl if you howl or if she hears an ambulance siren.
She is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, on monthly heartworm prevention and is microchipped. If you think you can offer this adorable little girl the right forever home, please let us know.
